Bandoneon and guitar are the instruments perhaps most representative of the music of Argentina. The bandoneon has for a long time been the most characteristic instrument of tango music, and while the guitar has also always been an important instrument in this genre, in argentine folk music it has always played a leading role.

Before the time of the big orchestras the bandoneon and guitar duos were the most typical formations, and when the golden era of these "orquestas tipicas" passed they surfaced again; most importantly with Roberto Grela's quartet and Anibal Troilo, and later on with Leopoldo Federico.

Sharing many years of experience through various projects, Santiago Cimadevilla and Marcos Di Paolo decided to work together on a new project that would express their personal view on tango. Following the lead of the old tango masters, they reinterpret the tango classics and create their own versions; respecting the essence of each piece but making them own through deconstructions and improvisations. The natural interaction between the musicians that flows from the duo formation results in dynamic performances, unique each time, and always true to the style.
